Fresh Particulars Surface Regarding the Location of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Remains

Recent details have emerged about the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

A Alarm

According to a report quoting a confidential source, a practitioner arriving for an appointment initially became concerned after being unable to gain access the residence. The practitioner then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

When she went into the house, Romy discovered her father's body. Reports state she then fled the house in anguish, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Another individual who had accompanied her contacted 911. Subsequently, first responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Charges

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, including the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is now in custody without bail.

Disputed Reports

The anonymous source questioned several previously reported details. They said that while Romy Reiner informed first responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the estate, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that time.

The source also pushed back against published notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "worried" about Nick's behavior in recent weeks. Instead the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction applies to descriptions of reportedly "unpredictable" conduct by Nick at a event hosted by Conan O'Brien on the night before the bodies were found. Although the source noted they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "rebuked" his son at the party, they asserted that claims of a "heated argument" between the two were untrue.

Investigation Timeline

Per law enforcement officials, the medical examiner had yet to determine at that point whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Some accounts noted the condition of their bodies suggested they had been dead for some hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the residence. He was set to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not received medical clearance and would not be present until no sooner than Wednesday.
