🔗 Share this article Netflix Casts Spot-On Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen. The platform declared this week that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a version of that role reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and cartoon version. The new cast member joins a number of recently announced actors tasked with bringing the group to life, featuring head Mr. 0, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land. Even though Bon Clay is a key figure of Baroque Works, the character won’t appear until One Piece season 3. With season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this represents a major departure in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal additional alterations to the narrative framework. The actor’s combination of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles. Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
