The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, demons, and dark forces expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of characters who will split off from the main group to undertake their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might look out of place, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, striking the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could help the team reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Explorers and Strategists parties.

Fans can anticipate learning which players will be where in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
